CSA

Community Supported Agriculture

February is the time to sign up for spring/summer CSAs. A few of our farmers offer customers the opportunity to purchase food from them up front, giving the farm a boost and the customer the convenience of picking up a preassigned box full of produce, meat or a loaf of bread once a week. Click here for more information on the benefits of CSAs. Check out our CSA opportunities below:

Okfuskee Farm

Five More CSA Boxes Available for Tuesday Market Delivery!
Okfuskee Farm is located in an agricultural area called Silk Hope, 8 miles from Siler City and 14 miles from Pittsboro, in Chatham County, NC. Our farm is based on permaculture and agroecological principles, including ecological site planning, water-focused design, bio-diverse and integrated livestock farming, no-till organic vegetable production, and agroforestry; all with a goal towards local sustainability. This year we have expanded production to include a small Consumer Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. In addition to the Diabetic CSA we are supporting through the Pittsboro Center for Natural Medicine, we are also offering a traditional CSA that includes a Tuesday drop-off location at the Chapel Hill Farmer’s Market (between 3:00 – 6:00 pm). Our CSA runs from May 3 to August 16 (16 weeks) and cost $400 (over $25 worth of food each week). A share includes a generous variety of seasonal herbs, vegetables and small fruits grown using sustainable practices (no chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides), in addition to the option to add a pasture-raised pork and/or egg order each week. Joining the Okfuskee Farm CSA invests in your health, satisfies your culinary curiosities and helps support your local food system. At Okfuskee Farm we pick for optimal quality and ripeness so your produce will be harvested fresh Tuesday mornings prior to delivery.
Thanks,
Okfuskee Farm
